Listing Standards

Accuracy and Sources

Accuracy is the foundation of every listing we publish. Before publishing, we:

  • Source listings from official company websites, SETA portals, and verified employer channels
  • Cross-check key details such as closing dates, requirements, and stipend information
  • Clearly present requirements so candidates can self-assess before applying
  • Promptly correct any errors when identified and update the listing accordingly

Content Quality

Every listing published on Daily Opportunities must include:

  • A clear title and category (learnership, internship, apprenticeship, etc.)
  • The province or location where applicable
  • Application requirements and closing date where available
  • A direct link or clear instructions for how to apply

Editorial Independence

Daily Opportunities maintains strict editorial independence. Our listing decisions are not influenced by:

  • Advertisers or commercial partners
  • Payment from employers or programme providers
  • Political affiliations or government direction
  • External pressure from any organisation or individual

We do not charge employers or providers to list opportunities on Daily Opportunities. All published listings are selected on the basis of relevance and value to young South Africans.

Verification Process

We take reasonable steps to verify that listings are legitimate before publishing. Our process includes:

  • Tracing the original source to an official company or government website
  • Checking that the employer or provider is a known and credible organisation
  • Avoiding listings that request application fees or personal financial details from candidates
  • Removing listings that are reported as fraudulent or expired

If you believe a listing on Daily Opportunities is inaccurate or fraudulent, please contact us immediately.

Corrections and Accountability

Our corrections commitment: When we publish incorrect information, we correct it promptly. Updated listings are clearly marked and corrections are applied without delay.

We maintain accountability through:

  • Prompt investigation of all reported listing errors
  • Clear channels for users to flag inaccurate or outdated listings
  • Regular review of our publishing standards
  • Transparent communication when listings are removed or updated

No Fees Policy

Daily Opportunities is committed to free, fair access for all users. This means:

  • We never charge candidates to browse or access listings
  • We never charge employers to list legitimate opportunities
  • We will not publish any listing that requires candidates to pay an application fee
  • We will not accept payment to promote specific listings above others

If you are ever asked to pay a fee to access or apply for a listing from Daily Opportunities, please report it to us immediately — this is not authorised.

Digital Ethics and Data

Social Media

When sharing listings or content on social media, Daily Opportunities:

  • Only shares verified, current listings
  • Links directly to the full listing rather than paraphrasing requirements
  • Does not make guarantees about application outcomes

User Data

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users:

  • We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the platform
  • We are transparent about analytics and advertising tools we use
  • We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
  • We never sell user data to third parties

Reporting Concerns

If you have concerns about a listing, believe we have published inaccurate information, or want to report a fraudulent opportunity, please contact us:

  • Email: info@dailyopportunities.co.za
  • Subject line: "Editorial Concern" or "Fraudulent Listing"
